Edda Sacks, Swiss, nutrition consultant*, and medically certified health counselor (GGB), has been residing on the beautiful Canary Island of Lanzarote, Spain, for over 30 years.

Why did I specialize in plant-based nutrition and health counseling?
Whether one is a meat-eater, omnivore, or a plant-based eater, is subjective. Personally, over 10 years ago, for health and ethical reasons, I decided to eliminate all animal products from my diet, except for rare exceptions. However, I believe that each person should decide for themselves.
Regarding the processing, quality, origin, sustainability, and health aspect of food, I believe that every individual has the power to make a difference and must be the architect of their (body) happiness.
As we all aspire to lead healthy and fit lives as we age.
Therefore, I have specialized in plant-based nutrition counseling and its immense health benefits, while also having positive impacts on the environment. My goal is to help you incorporate a balanced plant-based diet into your daily life, achieving long-lasting changes.

My great passion is preparing healthy, imaginative, and delicious dishes with fresh and local ingredients. Practical cooking workshops, inspiring recipes, and useful information about plant-based products are designed to assist you in incorporating this new dietary approach into your everyday life.

What drives me to do what I do?
It all began with the desire and realization to operate my own bakery with natural products in the south, which brought me to the volcanic island of Lanzarote in Spain in 1992, where I still reside today.
Meeting Tibetan doctor Dr. Loksang Shresta and delving into holistic Tibetan medicine completely changed my professional direction. Many trainings and studies led me to run my own treatment practice for over 12 years, focusing on areas such as massage, nutrition, trigger-point treatments, etc.
The topic of nutrition and its impact on the human body and mind increasingly took center stage, prompting me to study nutrition counseling in my adopted home of Spain. Additionally, it was important for me to become certified as a health counselor (GGB) to maintain the holistic aspect.
Since 2021, I have been working as a freelance nutrition consultant and health counselor (GGB) with my own practice on Lanzarote. I advise, accompany, and support my clients in all matters related to nutrition and conduct practical cooking courses (workshops)
